Calling all Alter-Egos, Inner Selves, Sub-Personalities, and Varying Inner Parts....

What is happening, when once again, you find yourself mysteriously stopping within sight of the finish-line?!?!?
My book, scheduled for an Autumn 2020 release by New World Library, solves what I call success issues. Whether my clients were unsure about which direction to go, stopped short after making progress, or immobilized as they closed in on their aim, they’d applied themselves admirably and were baffled about why they were getting in their own way. They’d come to me highly dissatisfied with the status quo, but unable to change. They reported feeling paralyzed, frustrated, overwhelmed. They were stressed, sad, angry, and scared. “I just don’t get it,” they’d say. “I’m doing everything I can think of. This is what I want more than anything and I just can’t take the next step. Why is this happening?” They’d swear to me that they yearned for the desired outcome with every fiber of their being. But the truth, I’d tell them, is that some of those fibers just aren’t with the program. The secret is not all of you wants what you think you want.

The book guides you to identify and learning from the parts of you that are secretly not on board. These sub-personalities have a distorted loyalty to your core negative beliefs. You will learn to release the bind of these inner selves that are keeping you from reaching your goals. You will learn powerful ways to shift to a new, healthier identity based on core positive beliefs and tap into powerful, resilient, problem-solving, joy-filled inner selves that you were not able to access before.

The premise is your healthy personality consists of selves, every single one has wisdom to impart, even the parts that appear dysfunctional. The noble service of each alter ego is to protect our vulnerability, even the ones that seem devoted to undermining and sabotaging your success. Uncovering the secret and potent intentions of your sub-personalities gives you the information you need to solve problems—and the courage to handle change as you transition into a successful you!

What you’ll learn will be a huge help in getting on the right track, making good decisions along the way, maintaining momentum through tough times, and avoiding problems as you head into the home stretch. I look forward to sharing my method, which allows people to understand the true sources of their puzzling paralysis and, with surprising swiftness, tap into creative, resourceful aspects of themselves and shift from their identity as stuck to an identity of achieving cherished goals.

What is the Final 8th?

Picture
I coined this rallying term—the final eighth--because the concept just came to me as I watched my talented, energetic, motivated clients stall in front of their finish line, for no good reason. In their different and distressing ways, they'd find themselves immobilized on the way to a cherished goal, from choosing a career to finding a mate; from getting out of debt to building a boat. Simultaneously concrete and ephemeral, the final eighth refers to the transformational process of taking the steps necessary to complete a project, finish a goal, realize a dream, love yourself and flourish! The final eighth is a processing mechanism that evokes imagination and creativity when dealing with the treacherous, demoralizing quandary of failing within sight of victory. It’s a way to concretely visualize where you've been (the first 7/8's) and where you are that you can use to navigate where you're going which is a tool that helps you recalibrate as needed in order to thrive in your uncharted territory of success and achievement. My book introduces the concept of the final 8th which helps you release your bind and cross that finish line as you revel not only in the sweet smell of success, but relish its savory nourishment. How do you maintain your new championship season long term? By practicing safe success—which you will also learn here.

What is your stuckpoint?

Picture
Do you find yourself stagnant after doing many, many of the “right” things towards an aspiration? After a tremendous amount of work many people stop at “the final eighth” position. They are unable to continue, yet are highly dissatisfied with the status quo. Whether it’s relationships, career or health, are you unhappily stalled in a familiar orbit of disappointment?  You have your act together, you seem to be in high gear, you’re doing everything you can consciously think of to reach your goal, you’re getting good feedback. And yet... you stop.

So what are the first seven eighths?” The first seven eighths refer to all that went before this moment, which can include:
  • struggling with difficult habits (but aren’t sure how to get positive support)
  • discovering your passion (but don’t know how to profit from it)
  • gaining physical and emotional health (but aren’t good at maintaining progress)
  • getting experience in your field (but are not sure how to make the vertical move)
  • studying (but are struggling with incomplete credits)
  • committing to a relationship (but are not sure how to live peacefully)
  • raising a family (but are struggling with all those competing agendas)
  • saying goodbye (but are not sure what to say hello to)
  • having and not having money, and having it again but maybe… “oo, la, la” the currency is different (and are not sure how to use the money wisely)
